It's difficult for many students to leave their home from another state and come to college. For volleyball standout Rhyan Shy, moving more than 3,000 miles away was no easy feat.
There may be a few things you might not know about 18-year-old Shy. For instance, she is a Freshman Pre-Medicine major; she was the first African-American student body President at Los Osos High School, in Rancho Cucamonga, California; her favorite movie is Brown Sugar; she was a three-year volleyball letter winner earning 1st Team All-Baseline League, 2nd Team All-County and Offensive Player of the Year honors while in California; and has quickly become one of Morgan's best offense volleyball players, in her first year as Outside Hitter for the Lady Bears.

"Caught with their pants down" would be a possible expression given to how the Morgan State Bears played against the Norfolk State Spartans last weekend.
